Samantha Ryan Chandler is no stranger to life's difficulties. In her book, A Love Story: How God Pursued Me and Found Me, she imparts her story of divine support and revelation throughout many years of turmoil, abuse, heartache, and disappointment from childhood through motherhood. A Love Story is full of wonderful truths about the way God meets people in their darkest hour, often miraculously.....the book is generally one that inspires hope, offering insight into the daily adventure of living a life of faith. Anyone having endured trauma in their life will instantly appreciate Chandler's struggles and rejoice in the clearly portrayed moments of divine revelation.
This book is small, but it has big things to say. Readers will surely join with Chandler in acknowledging that this story, like the human story, is not defined by the dark times. Instead, it is about the love that endures through hardship, because "When we love, we are most like God, for He is love."

I have to say that after reading this book I have a great admiration with Samantha for sharing her, at times, very painful story with us. It must have taken a lot of courage to print this book after having written and stirred up the memories that caused so much pain.
Samantha has been through a lot in her life and has laid it out for all to see. From an abusive mother to Darth Vader I think she has had it all and then some thrown at her. To keep faith the way she has is inspirational and shows that even in your darkest moments, if you believe, you have someone watching over you.
Although not a very long book the details of what happened and the layout of how it happened was written very carefully. At the end of the book I wanted to give Samantha a very warm hug and share with her my story.
I will be recommending this book to my Aunt, she is a devout Christian like Samantha and I think that she will enjoy this book. The fact that Samantha devotes her life to her daughters, the children she has looked after and God is encouraging to many.
I would give A Love Story: How God Pursued And Found Me – An Impossibly True Story 4.5/5.
